大俠霍元甲頭七之日，日本虹口武道場翻譯胡恩（魏平澳 飾）受鈴木寬（橋本力 飾）委派，帶人上精武館挑釁。霍元甲五弟子陳真（李小龍 飾）不堪其辱，孤身赴武道場應戰，大敗數十人。鈴木寬大怒，派人打砸精武館，并限三天交出陳真。為保陳真性命，大師兄（田豐 飾）命令陳真離開上海。當夜，陳真意外發現師父被毒害的線索，盛怒之下手刃兇手（黃宗迅 飾）及其內應（韓英杰 飾），并決定挖出幕后主使……
